What Our Customers Say
This company and their staff perform at the highest level of knowledge, courtesy & professionalism. The work WITH you and answer all questions eagerly and completely. Their follow-up & availability to the customer is unsurpassed in my opinion. They make you feel not just a "special" customer but more like a "family" member. They do not use a sales approach. They educate and allow you to decide the options best for you. When something could be done (as during installation) in more than one way, they always chose the "better" way even if it was more costly (did not raise initial quote) or time consuming.

Excellent Work. The Wolfgang team was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.
~ Earl E.
To whom it may concern,
I don’t often wright reviews about businesses because often I think that people just do what is required to get by. That being said I am motivated to wright this one about Wolfgang’s Cooling and Heating CO. Knowing that my roof pack heat pump (AC) was not going to last one more summer (a Goodman 9 seer 3.5 ton about 13 years old) and displaying
signs of dying a slow death.
My cousin recommended Wolfgang as he draws plans for new homes and remodel projects and said he was always very impressed with their work. He also said that I should make sure that whoever comes to the house for a bid should do a Manual J Calculation/Heat load Calculation (this takes into consideration SQ. footage of the house, construction
type, insulation, window area, the solar exposure and heat gain/loss).
The old way of sizing a unit was based on the SQ. footage. Some places figure 400 SQ. foot per ton and others figure
500 SQ. foot per ton. My home is 1700 SQ, foot. 1700 ÷ 400 = 4.25 ton and 1700 ÷ 500 = 3.4 ton a difference of .85
ton. By that I would have either been oversized or under sized both being equally bad. With a heat load calculation the
actual BTU load is determined and the unit is matched to that. That way you end up having a unit that is correctly sized
for your home.
I called SRP (local electric CO.) and asked them if they would recommend a CO. that does AC sales and installs.
Wolfgang’s was recommended by them. They also put me in contact with the Arizona Heat Pump Council who also
recommended Wolfgang’s.
Now the real homework begins I started with the AZ. BBB they are A+ certified and the AZ. Registrar of Contractors no
issues there either. All the CO. that came out were also in good standing with the BBB and the AZROC.
I called several CO. and found out most will not do a Manuel J/Heat load calculation or they want to charge for it. I had
a total of seven places out including Wolfgang’s. Some issues that came up were
• Quick look around the house and on the roof. One CO. was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
• No measurement of the house to figure out the SQ. footage.
• No Manuel J/Heat load calculation
• Did not answer all of my questions.
• Wanted to BS about other things.
• Wanted to do things that sounded shady. Scoops in the main splitter and such.
• A lot of guessing on the correct size of the unit. Some said a 3.5 ton, 4.0 ton and a 4.5 ton.
• Two year warrantee on their work.
• No written bid.
Wolfgang’s was the first CO. that came out and the only one that did the Manual J/Heat load calculation. John P.
figured out that I needed a 4 ton unit and gave me bids on several different makes and models of units. The bids I got
from the other place were also for different makes and models of units. I made sure that all of the companies gave bids
on the same make and model of one unit so I could price compare. All bids were very close on the cost for the same
unit. However, Wolfgang’s was slightly higher than the others.
Things that were included on Wolfgang’s bid that was not on the others.
• A new filter grill style that would flow more air.
• A larger return air duct that would flow more air.
• Sealing the filter box with Mastic. So it would not suck hot dusty air form the attic.
• Changing the thermostat wire routing. The old one was pushed up between the shingles.
• Shorten the trunk line that feeds the other side of the house (remove bends for better air flow).
After lots of research on the web I decided on the Train XL16c 4 ton two stage system. Some of the other makes use
two compressors of two ton each and often one compressor fails leaving you with half the cooling /heating power on
hot/cold days. One of the highest efficacy units for a roof pack system and the best warranty on the compressor.
Now for the reasons why I went with Wolfgang’s.
• John spent the most time at the house just over two hours.
• John answered all of my questions.
• John asked the most question regarding
• What temperature do we like the house in the summer/winter?
• What issues do we have with the currant unit?
• What are our monthly bills?
• Are all the rooms the same temperature?
• How long does the currant unit run?
• All the recommendations from outside sources. SRP, AZ. Heat Pump Council and of course family.
• Again the only CO. that would do a Manual J/Heat load calculation.
• Only CO. that used shoe cover when they came into the house.
• Would fill out and mail in all rebate paper work.
• Had a portfolio of work they had done for other customers.
• Five year warranty on their work.
• John never tried to up sale me.

We were very impressed by Ish's knowledge. The men assigned to our install were very knowledgeable. They really impressed us by the way the treated one another so well. When they needed a tool, etc... there was always a "please", "thank you", and "you're welcome". We were in awe at their respect for each other. They were so neat and clean and put on and took off their shoe covers every time they entered and exited.
All-in-all, we are very pleased and would recommend your company to anyone. Ish is a great salesman! A special thanks to him and the team who did the install.
